THE ROAD TO OTTA

The small city of Otta can be reached by following road E6 through Gudbrandsdalen, by coach from the south, west or north, or onboard the train from Dovrebanen. From here you drive your own car, or taxi, the last seven kilometres up to the heavens.

 

THE ROAD TO MOUNTAIN PASTURES

From Otta town centre, follow the signs towards Pillarguri, through the town streets and residential areas, on gravel road and follow the pasture road signposted with Eagle Nest Eco Lodge. Once you reach the end of the road, the fairytale begins.

 

THE ROAD TO HEAVEN

Suddenly the mountain pine forest opens up and surrounds you. Rondane is reigning in the horizon. High above you a fairytale castle glows. The sight of Eagle Nest Eco Lodge is breath-taking – and so is the hike. A few meters from the carpark, you wander up towards the lodge on an airy walkway. We recommend you pack in a backpack – so you can enjoy the architecture and the view up to the airy luxury that awaits.
